WWE utilizes the Internet to promote our brands; create a community experience among our fans; market and distribute our offline online and mobile products; and sell online advertising. During the third quarter of 2009, our primary website, WWE.com, attracted an average of 13.3 million monthly unique visitors worldwide. These visitors viewed an average of more than 385 million pages and approximately 17.9 million video streams per month.
Video Syndication
WWE currently streams its video content on Hulu.com. The wide range of content includes full length episodes of “Friday Night SmackDown,” “ECW” and “WWE Superstars.” WWE also offers short-form clips of “Monday Night Raw,” “Friday Night SmackDown” and classic content from our video library. Later in 2009, WWE will also stream similar content through TV.com and other video portals in the US and select countries.
E-Commerce
Over the past four years, we have increased revenue 315 percent offering the largest selection of official WWE merchandise available in the world. Year to date, we have generated $9.3 million in revenues.
Mobile Services
United States
AT&T and WWE have an exclusive content agreement, resulting in a customized WAP (wireless application protocol) experience and the largest collection of mobile WWE content on any carrier deck to date. WWE wallpapers, ringtones, voicetones and video are available on AT&T.
In addition, WWE Mobile has a convenient worldwide storefront for WWE fans to purchase wallpaper, ringtones and voicetones directly from WWE.com or from M.WWE.com on their mobile phones. Fans are billed directly in local currency through their own mobile carrier or credit card.
WWE Mobile Alerts are currently available on all major mobile carriers in the United States. The service features text-based exclusive information, breaking news, show previews and results.
Worldwide
A slate of original “made for mobile” content is currently being delivered to 45 countries. By the end of 2009, we are expected to be on deck with more than 90 carriers worldwide. WWE provides our partners with a wide range of video and standard personalization products centered around WWE Superstars, Divas and Legends.
WWE currently has local language websites in 34 countries worldwide where fans can get the WWE experience in their own language. Worldwide presence includes Japan, China, Italy, Portugal, Spain, India and all of Latin America with local websites recently launched in Germany and France. A local website is set to launch in Turkey by the end of 2009.
