WWE, Famous Players, Inc. & Bell ExpressVu Launch WWE In-Theater Pay-Per-View in Canada

STAMFORD, Conn., Jan. 18, 2000--WWE Entertainment, Inc (NMS: WWE), Famous Players Inc., Canada's leading film exhibitor, and Bell ExpressVu, Canada's leading satellite television company, today announced an agreement to deliver monthly in-theater WWE Pay-Per-View events via satellite in select Famous Players entertainment destinations throughout Canada.

These PPV events are highly theatrical productions, employing various story lines, special effects, including pyrotechnics, powerful entrance themes and a variety of props. "This is the first Canadian in-theater PPV initiative of it's kind,'' said Carl DeMarco, President, World Wrestling WWE Entertainment Canada, Inc. The first event is January 23rd when Famous Players will present the WWE Royal Rumble from the sold out Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Famous Players has 31 entertainment destinations throughout Canada. Since 1997 it has offered futuristic environments and a host of value added offerings for its guests through partnerships with leading brands such as the National Football League, Tricon Global Restaurants, Playdium Entertainment Corp., New York Fries, Pepsi-Cola Canada Beverages, Labatt Breweries, and Hershey Canada, the company plans to open another thirteen entertainment destinations in Canada this year.
