Stone Cold Steve Austin Returns to the Ring This Sunday, October 22, At No Mercy
The Rock Defends the WWE Title Against Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle
In a special match at No Mercy, Stone Cold Steve Austin returns to the ring after a ten-month absence to battle Rikishi. Since Rikishi admitted he was the driver of the car that hit Austin, Stone Cold has been on the warpath. Last week on Raw Is War, Rikishi once again attempted to run down Austin, but this time he was unsuccessful. Austin has vowed to tear the ring apart as he faces Rikishi in a "no-holds-barred, everything-is-legal" battle.
Also on the card at No Mercy, The Rock will defend his WWE Championship against Kurt Angle. Angle will be joined by his "business partner" Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. Stephanie believes that she can help the former Olympic Gold medalist become champion and intends to prove that she is not a liability at ringside.
In a special grudge match at No Mercy, Triple H will go against Chris Benoit. "The Game" intends to put an end to the rabid Wolverine's claim that he is the best technical wrestler in the WWE.
Also at No Mercy, Chris Jericho will face X-Pac inside the confines of a 15-foot-high steel cage. Jericho and X-Pac have been enemies for quite some time, and No Mercy is the opportunity for them to prove which one is the better man.
No Mercy will be broadcast live from the sold-out Pepsi Arena via pay-per-view and satellite technologies on Sunday, October 22, at 8:00 p.m. ET with a replay immediately following at 11:00 p.m. This three-hour spectacular is available via cable and satellite providers in all 50 states for $29.95, as well as internationally in Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. An "Encore Presentation" of No Mercy will take place Tuesday, October 24, at 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. ET.
