WWE and Saliva Launch Promotion With The World Premiere of 'ALWAYS'

STAMFORD, Conn., October 17, 2002 – World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. and Island Records announced today the kick-off of a month-long multi-faceted promotional campaign between WWE and Grammy nominated rock act, Saliva. The campaign launches this Sunday with the world premiere of Saliva’s new music video "Always" which will debut during WWE Sunday Night Heat this Sunday, October 20 (MTV, 7:00pm – 8:00pm ET). The world premiere of "Always" marks the first time that a band has utilized WWE program to debut a new music video. "Always," which is quickly rising up the rock radio charts, is the first single from Saliva’s new album "Back Into Your System" which will be in stores on November 12.

"Always" will be the official theme song of WWE’s Pay-Per-View spectacular Survivor Series® on November 17 at Madison Square Garden in New York. As part of the event, Saliva will be performing "Always" live via simulcast from The WorldÒ , WWE’s Entertainment Complex in Times Square.

As part of the campaign, "Always" will be implemented into all on-air promotions for Survivor Series on WWE programming during the four-week period October 21 – November 17. Each week, WWE programming reaches approximately 21 million viewers.

The band will be performing a full concert at The World on November 13 to celebrate the release of "Back Into Your System."

"For the last 20 years, music has had such an impact on our product and over the last year-and-a half, Saliva has recognized the value of tapping into our audience. During that time, they’ve recorded two WWE Superstar theme songs, performed live at WrestleMania® in front of 68,000 people, and will be launching their new video during our programming," said Kevin Dunn, Executive Producer of WWE.
