New Marketing Executives Named at World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc.
Neil Lawi to head Publicity and Dan Levi to head Brand Marketing
As head of Publicity for WWE, Neil Lawi, a ten-year veteran of the entertainment industry, will be responsible for the placement and exposure of WWE Superstars in national and international broadcast, print, and other media. In addition, Lawi will oversee the promotion of WWE products including books, publications, DVDs and home video releases, audio CDs, and CD-ROMs in the national marketplace.
Lawi most recently served as Vice President of Media for Columbia Records, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment, in New York City, where he garnered national media exposure for some of contemporary music's most popular and influential artists including Aerosmith, Cypress Hill, James Taylor, The Raveonettes, Johnny Cash, Shawn Colvin, and Train.
Dan Levi is also a proven entertainment veteran, having worked for MTV for 10 years, including 5 years in Singapore with MTV Asia. He served as Marketing Director responsible for launching the MTV brand in Asia and then Vice President of Licensing starting their Asian consumer products business. He joins WWE after serving as Vice President of the College Media division at Youthstream Media Networks. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of International Marketing at Musicmaker.com.
Levi will be responsible for overseeing WWE’s branding, television tune-in, pay-per-views, affiliate marketing, urban marketing, and market research.
