Thirty-Seven USOs Join World Wrestling Entertainment To Watch Great American Bash Pay-Per-View on Sunday, June 27 Thousands of U.S. Troops Also Will Receive the WWE SmackDown! Pay-Per-View Free

STAMFORD, Conn. - June 24, 2004 -Thirty-seven USOs across the United States will be hosting free Great American Bash events for the troops on Sunday as part of World Wrestling Entertainment’s SmackDown!™ brand Pay-Per-View, The Great American Bash. WWE also is offering the Pay-Per-View free to all military personnel and veterans to thank them for their service to America.

The Great American Bash will be broadcast from the Norfolk Scope Arena live on Pay-Per-View on Sunday, June 27, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Subway® is the Pay-Per-View sponsor.

USOs in California, Maryland, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas, Virginia, and metropolitan Washington, D.C. are hosting events for the troops. Distribution partners include DirecTV and local cable systems that serve their local USOs, including Comcast, Charter Communications, Time Warner and Cox Cable.

Those unable to attend the USO events will still have a chance to watch The Great American Bash Pay-Per-View at no charge. Military personnel and veterans who order The Great American Bash Pay-Per-View will be reimbursed the retail price of $34.95 upon receipt of a copy of their cable or satellite television bill and proof of their military service. WWE has maintained a relationship with the USO for many years to support our troops here and overseas. Many WWE Superstars have visited military bases and hospitals. Last December, WWE visited Iraq to produce a special holiday WWE SmackDown! event in Baghdad that was broadcast to troops around the world the evening of Christmas Day. WWE receives requests daily from soldiers stationed all over the world.
