WWE Superstars The Rock and Mick Foley take over the New York Times bestseller ...

STAMFORD Conn. Jan. 19 2000– The Rock otherwise known as the most electrifying man in sports entertainment takes the top spot on the New York Times bestseller list with his autobiography The Rock Says… (ReganBooks). After two weeks of sales he will reach No. 1 on the Times’ hardcover non-fiction list on January 30 (He debuts on the New York Times list at No. 2 on January 23). The Rock Says… is currently No. 1 on Publisher’s Weekly and The Wall Street Journal bestseller lists for January 14. Climbing back up the New York Times list is Mick Foley whose self-penned book Have a Nice Day!: A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks will be No. 3 on January 30. His book hit No. 1 on December 5 and as of January 30 will have been on the list for 13 weeks (and has been in the top six since his debut). The Rock’s autobiography recounts his path to wrestling success with unapologetic honesty and inimitable style — from his boyhood days traveling with his father (professional wrestler Rocky Johnson) to his years as a football player at the University of Miami to his meteoric rise through the ranks of the WWE. His booksignings have drawn an unprecedented number of people — from 6500 in Ridgewood New Jersey to 15 000 at the Mall of America.
