STAMFORD Conn.–July 18 2000–World Wrestling WWE Entertainment Inc. (NMS: WWE) has hired Tom Gibbons as Vice President of Investor Relations.

This newly created position will report to Linda McMahon CEO of WWE.

"Tom has twenty years experience in developing strong relationships with the investment community and preparing financial presentations for industry analysts and evaluating merger and acquisition opportunities ” said Linda McMahon CEO of WWE. "This combined with his financial management background makes Tom an excellent leader for our new Investor Relations Department.”

Gibbons comes to WWE from Bankers Trust Corporation where he held management positions in External & Regulatory Reporting Investment Banking Global Markets and Investor Relations since 1992. From 1985 – 1991 Tom held increasingly responsible roles in financial management with Joseph E. Seagram & Sons and General Electric Company. Gibbons graduated summa cum laude from Boston College with a B.A. in Economics and from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration with an M.B.A. He currently resides in New York City.
