(STAMFORD CONN. — September 22 2000) — WWE Entertainment Inc. (NMS: WWE) today joined Youth Vote 2000 in calling for the Presidential candidates to make their town hall debate on October 17 in St. Louis a "youth" debate.

"Gov. Bush and Vice President Gore should do everything they can to reach out to young voters in this election " said Linda McMahon CEO of WWE. "We supported Youth Vote 2000’s request to make one of the three official Presidential debates a youth debate and we now support their request that the Presidential debate in St. Louis be directed to the concerns of younger voters."

WWE Youth Vote 2000 Project Vote Smart MTV’s Choose or Loose and most recently the National Association of Secretaries of State have helped register almost 100 000 new voters in less than two months through the non-partisan SmackDown Your Vote! campaign.

Ms. McMahon and several WWE Superstars have invited Gov. Bush and Vice President Gore to take the SmackDown Challenge and appear together on the UPN television program WWE SmackDown!. "I urge both candidates to seriously consider accepting the SMACKDOWN CHALLENGE " said Ms. McMahon. "If they want to reach out to young and disenfranchised voters they will have no greater opportunity than on our program."

"We have reached out to these younger voters and made them feel that they should become involved " she said. "It’s now up to the campaigns to keep these voters attention. Having a Presidential debate directed at youth on October 17 and appearing on WWE SMACKDOWN! will get the attention of younger voters."
