TROY Mich. March 1 2001 –  Kmart Corporation (NYSE: KM) and WWE Entertainment Inc. (NYSE: WWE) today announced a Wrestlemania X-Seven Sweepstakes national promotion that will kick off in Kmart stores across the country and online at www.wwe.com and www.bluelight.com on March 4. This is the first time Kmart and WWE have joined forces to offer customers and wrestling fans the opportunity to win fantastic prizes including a grand prize trip to Wrestlemania X-Seven. A lucky individual will win four floor seat tickets to Wrestlemania X-Seven at the Reliant Astrodome in Houston Texas on April 1. The prize also includes airfare hotel accommodations and $500 spending money. In addition the winner and their guests will have lunch with WWE Superstar Kurt Angle at the Saturday March 31 Wrestlemania Fan Festival Axxess.

Ten first-place prizes will be awarded offering customers an at home Wrestlemania X-Seven party which includes free pay-per-view action figures souvenir programs T-shirts and hats. Twenty-two hundred second prizes also will be awarded. This package will include pay-per-view coupons for Wrestlemania.

In store materials will feature WWE Superstar Kurt Angle as will web pages developed for the contests on the WWE’s Web site WWE.com and Kmart’s Web site BlueLight.com. Commercials with Angle will appear in WWE television programming throughout the promotional period of March 4 to March 15. Customers can sign-up for the contest online as well as in-stores. Customers who sign-up in their local Kmart store will need to fill out an entry form and mail it in.

Other partners in the sweepstakes promotion include WWE licensees JAKKS Pacific which creates action figures of WWE Superstars and Trinity Products Inc. a maker of T-shirts and hats.
