Stamford Conn. September 17 2001 — WWE Entertainment Inc. (NYSE:WWE) today confirmed that its annual meeting will be held Friday September 21 2001 at 10:00 a.m. local time. The meeting will take place at WWE New York the Company’s media and entertainment complex in Times Square located at 1501 Broadway New York New York 10036.

The meeting will be brief and will consist solely of the matters as described in the Notice of Annual Meeting of Stockholders and Proxy Statement dated August 17 2001. Given the current circumstances no other activities other than the shareholders’ vote are planned. Mr. August Liguori and Mr. Edward Kaufman will represent senior management of the Company and will vote the proxies at the meeting.
