STAMFORD CONN August 12 2002 – World Wrestling Entertainment’s™ Global Warning Tour™ in Melbourne Australia broke the attendance record at Colonial Stadium on Saturday August 10. More than 56 700 people were at the event breaking the previous attendance record. The Global Warning Tour Melbourne grossed approximately $5.7 million Australian dollars (US$3 million).
More than 8 000 fans attended the two-day WWE Fan Frenzy™ leading up to the live event at Colonial Stadium. The fan festival included WWE™ Superstar autographs exclusive WWE™ memorabilia merchandise and collectibles and an arena size X-Box interactive area.
