World Wrestling Entertainment Comes To South Korea and Japan in January 2003 ...

STAMFORD Conn. October 17 2002 -– World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. today announced live event tour dates for South Korea and Japan in January 2003.

The "WWE® Far East Tour January 2003" will take place at the Jamsil Basketball Stadium in Seoul South Korea on January 23 2003 and the National Yoyogi Stadium (No. 1 Gymnasium) Tokyo on January 24 and 25 2003. Yukes’s Co. Ltd. is the presenting sponsor of the two-day tour in Tokyo. Yukes is the developer of content for WWE® videogames published by THQ.

The "WWE® Far East Tour January 2003" will feature many of the top superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment® including some WWE® Superstars yet to make their debut in Japan and South Korea. The tour card will be announced at an October 31 news conference at which ticket sale dates will be announced.

Total Sports Asia Ltd. WWE’s representative in Asia will coordinate the tour.

In appreciation of the support of Japanese fans WWE® is creating its first-ever official fan club outside North America — WWE® Fan Club Japan. "As so many of our fans were unable to obtain tickets to our event in Yokohama earlier this year we have been looking at various ways to ensure our most ardent fans are able to access tickets to WWE® events. We feel that we have a solution and that will be our fan club " Marment said.

Fan club members would be given priority access to tickets at all WWE® events in Japan with a host of benefits that are exclusive to fan club members including specially designed WWE® merchandise travel packages to attend Pay-Per-View events in the United States and free subscriptions to Japanese fan magazines.
