Survivor Series Sets Record as Highest Grossing WWE Event at Madison Square Gar ...

STAMFORD Conn. October 31 2002 – World Wrestling Entertainment® ’s Survivor Series pay-per-view is the highest-grossing WWE live event at New York City’s fabled Madison Square Garden already surpassing the previous gate record of $1.1 million established in 2000 at Royal Rumble®.

All currently available tickets for the pay-per-view event scheduled for Sunday November 17 sold out within four days.

"World Wrestling Entertainment’s and Madison Square Garden’s relationship go back many many decades. This year’s Survivor Series at MSG will add a new chapter to the long rich history we share " said Ed Cohen WWE’s Senior Vice President Live Events.

At Survivor Series Brock Lesnar®will defend his WWE Championship against the Big Show® and Triple H® will defend his World Heavyweight Championship in an Elimination Chamber against Booker T® Rob Van Dam® Kane® Chris Jericho® and Shawn Michaels®.

Production ticket releases will be made available at the MSG Box Office the day of the show. Fans can also watch Survivor Series at The World® in Times Square. Fans interested in watching Survivor Series on pay-per-view at home can order it from their local cable or satellite provider.
