STAMFORD Conn. June 18 2003 – World Wrestling Entertainment™(WWE™) kicks-off nine months of activities leading up to WrestleMania XX when its sold-out WWE RAW® and its WWE SmackDown!™ events come to Madison Square Garden (MSG) on Monday June 23 and Tuesday June 24.  

MSG will play host to WrestleMania XX which will be held on March 14 2004 and seen live around the world on pay-per-view.  MSG has played an integral part in WrestleMania history as the first WrestleMania was held there in 1985 and it housed WrestleMania X in 1994.

“WWE is thrilled to be bringing WrestleMania XX to New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden where it all began 20 years ago ” said WWE Executive Vice President Kurt Schneider. “WWE is incredibly proud to showcase 20 years of WrestleMania in a place it considers home.  New York the most exciting and vibrant city in the world will provide a spectacular backdrop for nine months worth of activities leading up to WrestleMania XX on March 14 2004.”

WWE is focusing all of its resources on the year-long WrestleMania XX celebration including special promotions with its consumer products weekly live events and monthly pay-per-views.
