STAMFORD Conn. June 18 2003 – World Wrestling Entertainment™ in conjunction with FYE – For Your Entertainment retail stores will be undertaking a national effort to raise funds for the families of military personnel killed in the war with Iraq. The effort kicks off in New York City at the FYE store in Rockefeller Plaza at 11 a.m. on Monday June 23. WWE RAW Superstars Stone Cold Steve Austin Ric Flair™ Bill Goldberg™ Triple H Shawn Michaels Kevin Nash™ and Trish Stratus™ will be participating at this event.

The “WrestleMania® XX Benefit for Armed Forces Families” has set a goal of raising $100 000 through the sale of a special WrestleMania XX poster at participating FYE stores (see tour dates below). All proceeds will be donated to the Armed Forces Families Scholarship and Assistance Fund which is part of the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation.

“The families of our Armed Forces are the unsung heroes of America ” said Linda McMahon WWE CEO. “They must shoulder the burden when a father or mother is killed in action. We are glad to be part of the effort to ensure the children of these military heroes lost in action in Iraq will be provided for. I want to thank Shawn Michaels for bringing forward this idea and helping to organize the Superstars to make it happen.”
