World Wrestling Entertainment Hires Jim Brown as Director of Operations for WWE ...
STAMFORD Conn. April 6 2005 – World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. today announced that Jim Brown has been hired as Director of Operations WWE Enterprises reporting to Tom Barreca Senior Vice President WWE Enterprises and head of this developmental business unit.
Brown will oversee the creation of processes planning and infrastructure required to deliver new WWE products to the marketplace and coordinate logistics between WWE’s current and emerging distributors strategic vendors and other business partners. Initially Brown will focus his efforts on the rollout and provisioning of WWE 24/7™ WWE’s new Subscription Video-On-Demand (SVOD) service that features the tremendous line-up of classic highly-rated and successful Pay-Per-View programming from WWE and other acquired national and regional wrestling brands. He will also be tapped to research model and assess growing and entirely new business ventures that leverage WWE’s assets especially its extensive 75 000-hour library.

Prior to WWE Brown was Manager of Programming and New Media at Insight Communications. While there he managed Insight’s On-Demand platform from end-to-end overseeing the operational aspects as well as the development and launch of the MSO’s free Video-On-Demand service.
Before joining Insight Brown spent five years at MTV Networks managing Broadband Development for their Affiliate Group where he helped develop the strategic planning and positioning of their networks in emerging markets. Prior to that he served as Contract Manager at MTV where he helped negotiate affiliate agreements. He has also held production positions in television and feature films.
