News Alert: WWE DVDs can be found in 9 out of the top 10 spots in the 2006 Top Selling Live-Action Sports DVDs according to Neilsen VideoScan (through July 9).  WWE’s WrestleMania 22 DVD tops the list followed by Super Bowl XL and WWE Blood Sport-ECW’s Most Violent Matches rounding out the top three.  

WrestleMania 22 is the most shipped WWE DVD release of all time with nearly 345 000 DVDs released-to-date in the U.S.  WrestleMania 22 debuted as the #5 best selling DVD among all DVD releases the highest ranking for a sports entertainment DVD ever.  Of the 10 weeks it has been released the DVD has spent 7 weeks at number 1 on the sports chart with two additional weeks at number 2 and 1 week at number 3.  In fiscal 2006 WWE Home Video released 26 new titles and shipped approximately 3.0 million units.
