On Friday April 20 World Wrestling Entertainment will air the 400th episode of SmackDown. 

First premiering on UPN on August 26 1999 SmackDown consistently ranked among the channel’s highest performing shows.  Originally airing on Thursdays the show made the jump to Friday nights on September 9 2005 as “Friday Night SmackDown.”  After UPN and WB merged to create The CW SmackDown premiered on the new channel on September 22 2006 and has continued its ratings dominance there.  Friday Night SmackDown is the number one rated program on Friday nights among males age 18-34 nationwide.  Now in its seventh season SmackDown has consistently been one of the most watched English language programs amongst Hispanic households.
