WWE.com Original Broadband Network Off To Strong Start

STAMFORD Conn. May 7 2007 – World Wrestling Entertainment®’s new original broadband network programs since their launch on February 1 2007 have combined to stream more than 6.2 million individual episodes online an impressive number that puts WWE.com in the forefront of streaming content.

The variety of exclusive WWE.com broadband content features WWE® history in-depth interviews sketches biographies cartoons and much more – all featuring WWE Superstars Divas and Legends plus a number of Hollywood celebrity guest stars.  Each series offers unique content from exclusive interviews with Chris Benoit® and Melina™ on “Ringside Reality™ to an inside look at the favorite cars of Stone Cold Steve Austin™ and Edge® on “WWE Rollin’™.”

Since the broadband launch WWE has aired 12 separate series totaling 66 original episodes.  The most viewed series a love and relationship show starring WWE Superstar Val Venis™ had its four episodes streamed more than 800 000 times.  The show’s most popular single episode featured WWE Diva Maria™ giving her unique insights on flirting and was streamed more than 340 000 times.  Other single episodes of “WWE Rollin’ ”  “WWE Emergency Room ” “Ringside Reality” and “WWE Uncut” have each reached the 200 000 stream mark.

Peter Clifford Senior Vice President Distribution and Affiliate Marketing said WWE’s robust video content was also a way to help MSOs up sell broadband services to customers.  “Our new broadband programs give our fans another compelling reason to switch to a better broadband service to fully enjoy this content ” he said.  “And that’s a benefit to our cable affiliates.”

The broadband content has added a new dimension to an already vibrant WWE.com.  The website each month attracts 17.5 million unique visitors and provides more than 43 million video streams.
