WWE Appoints New Communications, Sponsorship and Promotions Director
30 August 2007 – London — Claire Murphy has assumed the position of Communications Sponsorship and Promotions Director with World Wrestling Entertainment® (WWE) where she will be charged with the responsibility of developing and implementing a communications strategy across WWE’s international markets.
Her goal is to raise awareness of the WWE sports entertainment product portfolio across a broader audience and in doing so contribute to the business’ already growing international revenue under the leadership of Jonathan Sully Senior Vice President Marketing.
“Claire brings a wealth of international experience and skills to the WWE team ” stated Sully. “Her appointment represents a significant commitment to the expansion and growth of our business internationally. Communication efforts focused around PR promotion and advertising will play an increasing role as we build the WWE brand globally.”
Before joining WWE Murphy developed and implemented successful marketing strategies in a number of challenging industries from promoting London globally as a business study and tourism destination as Head of Emerging Markets at London Unlimited to developing a new strategy to differentiate the United Kingdom’s outdoor advertising giant Clear Channel to leading the brand re-launch for Goodyear’s largest Australasian tyre retailer.
