WrestleMania Texas-Sized Ticket Sales

STAMFORD Conn. November 10 2008WWE® fans worldwide took home tens of thousands of available tickets during the official on-sale for the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania making it the second-highest first-day gross in the history of WrestleMania. Despite a less than stellar economy as compared to 2007 ticket sales exceeded $4.8 million almost beating the record for first-day ticket sales set by WrestleMania 24 in Orlando Florida.

Fans from 24 countries including all 50 states and 7 Canadian provinces are expected to attend the event making the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania an event only a state the size of Texas can handle.

Tickets will continue to be available at Ticketmaster outlets throughout Texas and worldwide at www.ticketmaster.com. Be sure to get yours now to be part of history on April 5 2009 at 6:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. CT at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

WWE fans are expected to inject upwards of $50 million into the local economy with a weeklong schedule of activities interactive experiences and events taking place in Houston leading up to the big event. The 25th anniversary of WrestleMania will also be seen by millions of fans around the world as they watch the broadcast in more than 90 countries.
